PALESTINE, Texas (August 29, 2022)- A Palestine man has been arrested after he exposed himself to multiple children Sunday evening.
Just before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 28th, PPD Officers responded to the 2100 block of W. Point Tap in reference to a report of a man exposing himself outside of a residence.
Corporal Austin Goins and Detective Jason Waldon arrived on scene and made contact with an adult female complainant who reported that her female daughter and friends had been playing outside of their residence. The complainant reported that her daughter came inside and told her that a male subject was standing outside of a neighboring residence masturbating in front of the girls. The mother stated that she then went outside and also observed the subject exposing himself.
Officers located the subject, identified as Jobie Taylor, 64, of Palestine. Taylor was found to be a registered sex offender who had been convicted of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact in the early 2000’s.
Taylor was placed under arrest, transported to the Anderson County Jail, and booked without incident on the following charges:
• Three counts of Indecency with a Child-Exposed
• Indecent Exposure
