Regular commission meetings are held in the City Council Chambers on the 4th Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. or as called.

Agendas must be posted and accessible to the public for at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. Minutes are available following board approval.

About Us

Members of the Building and Standards Commission hear and determine cases concerning alleged violations of Chapter 22, Buildings and Building Regulations of the City Code. The Building and Standards Commission is comprised of seven members and up to four alternate members. Members serve two-year terms but may continue to act after the end of their term until a successor is appointed by the City Council. A member of the board may not be appointed for more than two consecutive terms unless approved by a majority of the City Council.
