Library Card

Public Library cards are free of charge for the first card. The patron card application (the Online Borrower Registration) is available online. The form can be completed at home or in the library at the circulation desk.

Adults must present a valid Government Issued photo I.D. or Drivers License, along with proof of current address such as a utility bill.

Applicants 17 and under must have a parent or legal guardian with them to get a library card.


Library cards are available at the time of application. Patrons may check out up to 10 items at one time.

Limits: Only two DVDs may be checked out per visit. A total of five audiobooks may be checked out at any one time. So, for example, a patron may check out two DVDs and five audiobooks at a time.

Books, audiobooks, and DVDs may be checked out for four weeks. These may be renewed 2 times for an additional 4 weeks each time,  if another patron has not reserved them. Patrons may renew materials by telephone by calling (903) 729-4121, in person, or online at My Account

Fines and Fees

  • Books: .30 cents a day per book
  • DVDs, Audiobooks, BK-CDs: $1.25 per day per item
  • Interlibrary Loan: $5 a day per item 
  • Replacement library card: $3
  • Lost or damaged materials: Cost of item plus $12 processing fee
