Litter Abatement
Litter Abatement is made up of one non-sworn officer whose purpose is to address litter issues city-wide. The litter abatement officer is dedicated to improving the look, vitality, and economic integrity of Palestine's communities by identifying and persecuting individuals who illegally dump within the city limits.
- What do I do if I see someone illegally dumping items?

You can call 903-731-6003 or download the RID application for Android or iPhone to submit the information. Through the app, you can send in the details of what you saw in addition to a picture.
- Who do I call to pick up large items?

- Where can I drop off large items?

You can call 903-723-5418 or drop by the Anderson County Transfer Station at 30440 U.S. 79, Palestine, TX.
- Where do I go to recycle items?

Recycling in the City of Palestine ended as of Wednesday, January 8, 2020. However, residents may drop off recycling items for free at the Transfer Station located at 571 ACR 367, Palestine, TX 75801.
- I saw someone dumping trash or large items at the Wal-mart donation bins, who do I contact to report it?

If possible, send us the license plate number in addition to the make and model of the vehicle and description of the individual(s).
