Animal Control

The Palestine Police Department provides two full-time Animal Control Officers who respond to animal complaints. The Animal Control Officer has his/her basic and advanced training requirements and is responsible for enforcing the City ordinances and State laws regulating animal control functions. Routinely, the animal control officers respond to citizen complaints involving animal nuisances, such as stray animals, barking, aggressive dogs, and animal bites.

Emergency Services

For emergency services outside of our normal operating hours, please call the Palestine Police Department at 903-729-2254. A dispatcher will take your information and notify an Animal Control Officer that is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for emergency calls.
