Program Description

The Development Services Department is divided into two major functions of Planning Administration and Enforcement which:

• Review major codes and makes recommendations to the respective boards which oversee them;

• Administers the permitting procedures, record keeping, legal issues, zoning applications, demolition program and

• Enforces the codes and responds to related complaints; and protects historically significant structures.

• Revise the comprehensive plan for future city planning.

• Continue Zoning Ordinance revisions.

• Encourage aesthetic development.

OBJECTIVES

• Planning for future growth and compatible land uses.

• Encourage Commission participation in related seminars.

• Be mindful of the environment.
