Program Description

The City of Palestine has five cemeteries: New Addition, East Hill, Old Town, Middle and Memorial. Public Works/Parks crews are responsible for the maintenance of each of these cemeteries.

 Goals

•  Maintain a neat and aesthetically pleasing appearance in all cemeteries.

 Objectives

• Continue to improve and upgrade cemetery roadways.

• Develop an inspection and improving schedule for the retaining walls.

• Continue the Pauper Field expansion.

• Continue to upgrade remaining undeveloped sections of the cemeteries for future development.

• Mow and trim grass according to rotation schedule.
